Nikola "⁠NiKo⁠" Kovač has claimed the Most Valuable Player award of BLAST Pro Series Copenhagen by HLTV.org and betway.

The Bosnian led FaZe to their first title with the new lineup in Copenhagen with an overall 1.33 rating over the course of seven maps the team played en route to the trophy, only once dropping below the 1.00 rating mark, in a loss to Liquid that had no competitive effect.

Otherwise, NiKo was the main driving force behind the European side's four victories in the group stage that earned them a spot in the grand final, putting up three consecutive performances rated above 1.60. Although he didn't reach the same peaks in the grand final, he still played a pivotal part in the title decider as the second-highest rated player of the series.

Overall, the 22-year-old boasted numbers such as the fifth-most damage per round (92.8), third-most kills per round (0.84) as well as the fourth-most assists per round (0.18), which led to a tournament-high 78% KAST, showing his incredible consistency round-to-round.

This award marks NiKo's sixth MVP in total and his second in 2019, after he spearheaded FaZe in their only other big-event trophy run this year at another BLAST Pro Series stop, in Miami.
